If you have driven past the OWFC, OPP & CCWG buildings lately you may have noticed work beginning along the abandoned rail line between Moore and Coleman Street. This is the preliminary grading and drainage work for what will become a parkland space that can be enjoyed by the whole community.
This video illustrates the conceptual plans for the area. A request for funding for this project has been made as part of the 2018 budgeting process. If approved, work on the project will begin in early 2018 and the expectation is that the park will be open for public use in 2019 which will coincide with the Town’s 200th Anniversary.
