PRESS RELEASE / COMMUNIQUÉ DE PRESSE

Friday April 19, 2024

Wild Valley Farms of Croydon, Utah and the Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers Ltd. based out of Carleton Place, Ontario are excited to announce a collaboration to market Canadian wool as the revolutionary sheep wool pellet fertilizer.

Wool Pellets are made 100% from raw wool and are the only fertilizer that reduces watering needs while also creating porosity in the root zone.  These Canadian wool pellets will be marketed under the Wild Valley Farms branded Wool Pellets in the North American marketplace and will carry the Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers logo.  With this partnership, the Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers Ltd will become the Canadian distributors for Wild Valley Farms products.  The two companies are excited to pool resources to further the marketing and visibility of sheep wool pellets and associated products in both Canada and the United States of America.   Please look for these products in Canada at all retail stores under the CCWG group of companies or online at www.wool.ca or www.realwoolshop.ca

Albert Wilde, the Owner & Operator of Wild Valley Farms, feels that this partnership will help strengthen the wool industries in both Canada and the United States.  “Our goal is to increase the value and profitability of sheep farmers by using waste wool to improve homes, gardens, and the world with this new innovative fertilizer.  This partnership will allow Canadian wool to be utilized for the Canadian market, while increasing Wool Pellet fertilizer education”, Wilde stated.

Morgan Moore, the President of the Board of Directors, and Acting General Manager of the CCWG group of companies, had this to say.  “The CCWG, a cooperative with a mandate for wool marketing and a mission to capture value in the marketplace for our shareholders, is very well positioned to create and distribute sheep wool pellet products across Canada.  The sustainability of this natural fibre with respect to environmental contributions on carbon sequestration, organic fertility, water conservation and more make the future of the wool industry in this country very bright! We are excited to partner with Wild Valley Farms in this pursuit to the benefit of all our shareholders and customers.”
